Learning designed for desks, not landscapes
National Trust for Scotland's workforce don't all work in an office. Their work takes them outdoors, to the highest point of a mountain, or deep into the soil of a historic garden, but their previous learning platform didn't reflect that. With desktop-only access and no mobile app, their elearning couldn't be taken on the go and came to a halt once people stood up from their desk.
Colleagues couldn't access the training they needed, when they needed it most, and managers couldn't access any analytics about that training. Frontline training needed to reach colleagues wherever they were working, with mobile-first access that fitted around their physical environment and gave the organisation a clear view of what was happening and why.

A flexible platform that meets colleagues where they are
With the help of Thrive, National Trust for Scotland took learning out of the office and placed it directly in their employees' hands, no matter where in Scotland's vast, beautiful scenery they happened to be working. Colleagues accessed Thrive through the quick and intuitive mobile app, finding training tailored to their exact roles and working environments.
The implementation process came together seamlessly, thanks to smooth collaboration between Thrive's Onboarding, Implementation and Sales teams. Soon, National Trust for Scotland and Thrive were working together as one team, equally invested in the platform's success. Structured pathways ensured every role had a clear development journey, supporting apprenticeships, specialist courses and essential health and safety elearning in one place.

Engagement grows as learning becomes part of everyday work
Since launching Thrive, National Trust for Scotland has seen a 150% increase in the number of colleagues accessing learning monthly. Managers have a clear view of learning across the organisation, and employees engage with a platform designed around how they work, learning in the moment, in the flow of the working day. Employee engagement has grown alongside access to new content, with analytics giving the team clear visibility of what's working across every property and team.
To quote Pete Harris, Lead Consultant, Organisational Development at National Trust for Scotland: "It's been streamlined, slick, fun, engaging, and really successful."

"If another business leader asked if I'd recommend Thrive to them, I'd say 100% yes. It's been an incredibly positive experience since we launched in May, and since working with Thrive from January this year, we've had nothing but success with them. It's been streamlined, slick, fun, engaging, and really successful. We’ve had really positive results from it."
