Overview

In October 2026, Thrive made the AI Content Creator the default tool for creating new learning content. Choosing File, Article, Elearning, Link or Quiz now opens the Content Creator with the matching block already in place, including SCORM elearning files. It means more authors get newer features, like content rating and AI content podcasts, which only work on content built in the Content Creator.

What's new

  • File, Article, Elearning, Link and Quiz now open the Content Creator instead of the previous tools.
  • Each option opens with the matching block already added, so an article starts with a text block and elearning with an elearning block.
  • Pathways, events and mentoring programmes are unchanged.
  • The previous creation tools move into a separate, collapsed section on the create page.

Why / benefits

  • Authors start in the modern Content Creator by default, with no extra steps.
  • Content built in the Content Creator gets newer features, such as content rating and AI content podcasts.
  • Every author gets the same, consistent way to create content.
  • The previous tools are still there for authors who need them.

How it works

  • An author opens the create page and chooses a content type.
  • The Content Creator opens with the right block ready to go.
  • Authors who need a previous tool can expand the legacy section and use it as before.
  • Existing content isn't changed or migrated.

Use cases

  • A compliance manager clicks File as usual, lands in the Content Creator with a file block ready, uploads a policy and publishes it.
  • An admin who needs a specific option in the previous quiz tool opens the legacy section and creates the quiz as normal.

People/personas

  • Content authors and admins get a faster, more modern way to create content.
  • Learners see no change, other than benefiting from newer content features.
