Split Topics, Skills and Collections

Topics, Skills and Collections previously lived together under a single Tags section in the admin navigation. As Skills becomes a more complex area of the platform, keeping them combined risked creating confusion for admins.

• Topics, Skills and Collections are now accessible as standalone pages under Manage
• Topics and Skills pages have received an updated UX and UI, built on Thrive's design system
• The old Manage > Tags route no longer exists

• Cleaner, less confusing navigation, since Topics and Skills are fundamentally different things
• Room for Skills to grow as the taxonomy work expands what Skills means on the platform
• A redesigned table, search and filtering experience that is a meaningful improvement on the previous Tags page

• Admins navigate to Manage > Skills, Manage > Topics or Manage > Collections to access the relevant page
• From each page, admins can search and filter in real time, create new tags, and bulk delete or add to a collection
• Access is limited to Super Admins, Learning Managers and Tag Managers

• An L&D admin team managing a large topic library uses the improved search, filtering and bulk actions to keep the library organised.

• Super Admins, Learning Managers and Tag Managers are the primary users of the new pages
• L&D admin teams at scale benefit most from the improved search and bulk actions
