Employees brought into one, unified learning experience
A brand new opportunity
Before launching their new learning platform, one of Anthony Nolan's biggest pain points was the lack of a learning culture within the organisation. Employee training was seen as something that happened to people, rather than something they engaged with. Having recently undergone a significant rebrand, the team took this as an opportunity for a clean slate and the chance to build a new learning strategy from the ground up.
After discussing at length exactly what kind of learning experience they wanted to create for their people, the "Squad that Saves Lives" kept coming back to Thrive as the natural solution. Building genuine employee engagement with development required a platform that felt completely different from what had come before — and that's when a productive professional partnership began, with the two teams working closely to build a learning experience that aligned perfectly with the revamped brand.

How to build a learning culture
In cultivating their new learning culture, the team at Anthony Nolan worked with both Thrive Platform and Thrive Bespoke Content. The Bespoke Content team took the time to get to know their branding, needs and culture, weaving this into personalised modules that slotted perfectly into their wider learning strategy. Structured pathways gave staff clear development journeys, Spaces created a home for peer collaboration, and campaigns kept the whole organisation engaged with new learning initiatives throughout the year.
The implementation process — typically a stressful part of launching any new platform — was positive and seamless from day one, thanks to a clear and concise project plan that kept everything on track and ensured a successful roll-out when Launch Day arrived.

A successful roll-out
The roll-out surpassed Anthony Nolan's already high expectations, with a 97% uptake in learner profiles created within just the first two weeks. Beyond user uptake, individual feedback was excellent too — the team particularly valued having multiple formats of learning available, including audio, PDFs, quizzes and video. Social learning features built a connected colleague community, while analytics gave the team visibility of engagement and development progress across the organisation.
Behind the platform is world-class, 24/7 customer support, with the Thrive Support Team always on hand to help with anything that comes up, keeping the whole process smooth from start to finish.
"I would definitely recommend Thrive to other organisations. It's a super innovative and exciting platform to work with, and I think there's lots of exciting opportunities for ways in which we can really use it to embed a learning culture here at Anthony Nolan ... the user experience is really great from our colleagues’ point of view"
