Organisation Default Theme

Thrive already supports Light, Dark and System themes for individual users, but the default was fixed to Light. This adds a Default theme control in Admin, so the organisation decides what the platform looks like out of the box. Personal choice still wins, nobody who has already picked a theme gets overwritten.

• Admin → Theme now has a Default theme card with three options, Light, Dark and System
• System follows each user's own device setting
• Users get a new "Organisation default" option in their own theme picker
• Clear precedence, explicit user choice, then organisation default, then Light

• The platform matches a customer's brand from the very first login
• Choosing System supports users who already run dark mode for accessibility reasons, with zero effort
• Removes the need for internal comms asking employees to switch their theme manually
• Admins set the starting point, not a lock-in, so it is a low-risk setting to change

• An admin goes to Admin → Theme → Default theme, selects an option, and saves
• Any user without a personal theme picks up the new default on next load
• Users can override this at any time from their own profile theme picker
• If no default has ever been set, the platform falls back to Light

• A customer with a dark corporate identity sets Dark as the default so the platform matches their internal tooling from day one.
• An accessibility-focused customer sets System so the platform follows whatever each employee already has configured on their device.
