Configurable & Required User Fields

Thrive's user profile has both default fields and custom fields configured per customer. Until now, neither could be controlled on the Create User form, every default field always appeared and custom fields were always optional. This release gives admins platform control over what is captured when a user is created.

• Every default profile field now has two controls, whether it appears on the Create User form and whether it is required
• First name, last name and login method stay locked, always shown and always required
• Custom fields of any type can be marked as required, and are enforced at submission

• Required fields prevent incomplete user records from entering the system
• Hiding irrelevant fields simplifies the creation form
• Works alongside delegated user management, so admins can tailor the form for managers creating users on their behalf

• Admins configure fields from Configure > User Attributes, with a show and required toggle per field
• Turning on required also enforces the field for API and SCIM provisioning
• Required fields block submission if left empty, both when creating a new user and when editing an existing one through the interface

• An organisation delegating user creation to store managers hides irrelevant fields and marks cost centre and location as required, so every new user arrives with the right data.

• Managers creating users benefit from a simpler, more relevant form
