Office Depot Group is the latest enterprise organisation to choose Thrive, just as we open our new US headquarters in Austin.

Since we first opened our new office in Austin's Silicon Hills, more organisations across the US and Canada have come to us looking for a learning partner that keeps pace with how their people work. Austin is now our permanent US headquarters, and it's where we'll grow the teams that support those customers every day.

Office Depot Group signs a five-year partnership

Office Depot Group, one of America's best-known office supplies retailers, has signed a five-year partnership with Thrive that will see us support 18,000 users across the business, with the launch planned for early 2027.

Many of those employees work in stores and distribution centres, away from a desk, so the centrepiece of the rollout is a fully branded Office Depot mobile app. Employees download it from the app store like any other app, see their own company's look and feel, and can pick up training and company knowledge between tasks on the shop floor or in the warehouse.

Thrive will also integrate with Oracle, connecting the platform with the systems Office Depot already uses, and will support everything from onboarding and essential learning to social learning and accreditation tracking.

Over the course of the partnership, employees in retail, sales, distribution and corporate roles will have one consistent place to find the knowledge, training and support they need at every stage of their career with Office Depot.

Sarah Hoxie, EVP and Chief Administrative Officer at Office Depot Group, said:

“Our Coworkers work across retail stores, distribution centers, and corporate offices, and learning has to meet them where they are. Thrive gives us a single, mobile-first place for training and knowledge that brings development closer to the point of work.”

What this means for you

If you're based in North America

Our new hires in Austin are joining our Customer and Enterprise teams, working alongside our Canadian team in Product, Customer Success and Support. You'll get help from people who share your time zone and understand your market, from your first conversation through to launch and long after it.

If you're expanding into North America

Many of our customers started in the UK or Europe and now have people, stores or whole brands in the US. With a Thrive team based in the market you're growing into, your US colleagues can have the same learning experience as everyone else in your business.

AllSaints is a great example. The British fashion brand brought more than 2,300 colleagues onto Thrive across the US, UK, Europe and Asia, including its US menswear brand John Varvatos, and completed the global rollout in under six weeks.

Sean Reddington, CEO and Founder of Thrive, said:

“We’re investing in people, leadership and a new HQ in Austin because we want to build something substantial close to our biggest customers and provide even more support on the ground. We’re seeing more enterprise organisations making the jump from traditional learning technology to an AI-first solution that can seamlessly become part of how people work every day. It’s an incredibly exciting time for Thrive.”

Learning that fits into the working day

When your people are spread across countries, sites and shifts, the help they need should be easy to reach in the moment, whether they're at a desk or on the move.

That's where Kiki comes in. Kiki is the AI built into Thrive on desktop and mobile, so your people can ask a question and get an answer straight away, drawn from your own learning and knowledge. For your L&D team, Kiki also speeds up content creation and helps you spot trends in your data, so you can support thousands of people without adding to your workload.

We release new features at pace, so the platform you choose today keeps getting better as AI moves forward and your people's expectations change with it.
