Thrive expands into the US with a new office in Austin's 'Silicon Hills'

Our new base in Texas's 'Silicon Hills' puts us at the heart of America's tech and AI scene

We're opening a new office in Austin, Texas, and giving Thrive a permanent home in the US.

Leading the move is our co-founder and co-CEO, Sean Reddington, who is relocating from Nottingham to Austin with his wife and young children. From the new office, Sean will grow our US customer base and work alongside some of America's best-known tech and AI companies.

Why Austin?

Austin’s tech scene is known as 'Silicon Hills', and it's home to major offices for Apple, Google, Meta, Tesla and Amazon. It's one of the fastest-moving tech scenes in the US, and now Thrive is part of it.

The new office puts us on the same side of the Atlantic as the organisations we already work with across the US and Canada, including DECIEM, Hogan Taylor and Nothing Bundt Cakes – to name just a few. We can’t wait to welcome even more.

"Britain is a fantastic testbed and launchpad. We built a thriving business here with incredible talent and loyal customers. But to hit world-scaling size, we have to look globally. Our move to Austin is about seizing a massive growth opportunity … The US market is vast, fast moving, and ready for a fresh approach to learning tech. In the US, big ambition is applauded."

- Sean Reddington

A US base for UK and global organisations

Many of the organisations we work with started in the UK or Europe and now have teams, stores or whole brands in the US. Hawksmoor and Ole & Steen are two UK-based Thrive customers with US teams and sites, and they now have Thrive in the same market they're growing into. If your business is expanding into the US, you'll have a team on the ground there to help you do it.

AllSaints is another great example. The British fashion brand brought more than 2,300 colleagues onto Thrive across stores, studios and distribution centres in the US, UK, Europe and Asia, including its US luxury menswear brand, John Varvatos. The full global rollout took under six weeks.

With Thrive available in 74 languages and used across 60+ countries, US teams get the same experience as everyone else, from day one.

Building on a big year

Austin is our second international office, following our launch in the Middle East with a new hub in Dubai in 2025. It also comes after a run of recognition for the business. Thrive was named by the Financial Times as one of Europe's fastest-growing tech firms this year, and won three categories at the Learning Excellence Awards

What’s next

Our biggest features keep growing, and our customers help decide where they go next.

Kiki, our AI agent, now works as a team of AI agents that help you create content, automate admin and make sense of your data. Spaces gives every team, region or brand its own home inside Thrive, with its own content, updates and conversations. Mentoring comes included at no extra cost, so you can match people with mentors across the business, wherever they're based.

With a team in Austin, we'll hear from our US customers more often and face to face. Their ideas and feedback will help shape what we build next, alongside suggestions from customers in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
