Building a ‘go to’ place for learning
As a collaborative organisation, SoPro identified a need for a platform that would enable them to make their learning accessible and encourage peer-to-peer knowledge sharing. Learning was taking place across different teams, but there was a lack of consistency which meant there were silos that needed breaking down. The team identified Thrive as a partner to help them on their journey, and loved the early exploration sessions where they were able to hone in on exactly what was going to help them succeed.
The company has been growing fast, bringing a new set of challenges for the team to meet. Since August 2022, they've welcomed over 150 new starters with a globally-consistent 'welcome' pathway to introduce them to the business.
With information on the business culture and values, well-being & inclusion initiatives, teams, offices and the structure of their first 90 days, new starters are immediately given the tools they need to hit the ground running.
Welcoming large numbers of employees meant they had to facilitate faster speed to competency, and look at reducing the overall cost of onboarding.
The team was also keen to enable skill development within the organisation - both for the roles people are already in, but also to help employees move into new areas across the business. Thrive has given them the tools they need to make this happen - and SoPro has run with it. Offering toolkits designed to prepare line managers and employees for career conversations, they've set their people up to excel in their chosen career paths. It's safe to say these toolkits are a success, amassing 1,500 views.
User generated content
SoPro already had a desire within the leadership team to enable user-generated content and peer learning across the teams. With Thrive in place, it’s much easier for them to encourage UGC - and they’re consistently finding that they don’t have to work hard to get people using the platform. A great early example has been a video competition run through the platform, which was based solely on users generating and uploading their own content.
Wellbeing, diversity and inclusion
In an effort to cultivate a culture of wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, SoPro has allocated specific 'Wellbeing Champions' within the business who can provide non-judgmental, confidential chats to anyone who might be struggling.
Utilising Thrive's custom-built pathways on these very topics, the team at SoPro train their people in the topics that matter most to them as a business. Everything takes place within the Thrive platform, so it's easy to access and refer back to later.
The results for these specific campaigns have been phenomenal, garnering over 7000 views - and the engagement with the platform overall have been just as impressive. Since launch, SoPro has gained 500 comments, over 400 shares, nearly 3,000 likes and over 60,000 views.
