From linear to lightning-fast learning
Before Thrive, Alto was facing a familiar challenge: how to deliver training that felt tailored and engaging – particularly for their estate agents, who have a diverse array of needs and responsibilities. Their previous platform, Docebo, followed what Emma Parrish (Education Content Specialist at Alto) calls a “linear approach” – an A to B journey that left very little room for flexibility and personalisation. (Unlike Thrive, which puts personalisation front-and-centre.)
Alto’s new LMS had to be the perfect fit – in the right place, at the right time, with all the right features. Even more important was the tangible impact the platform could make: Less friction, faster onboarding, and reduced customer churn. Their team needed a scalable platform that could evolve with them, while improving both user experience and Return on Investment.

Skills that stick, powered by Thrive
Enter Thrive. Alto’s new learning platform (branded as Alto Skills) launched in January 2025, and quickly became a central part of the learning experience for their estate agents. With fully flexible, personalised learning journeys, users can dip in and out of training as needed – whether it’s system functionality, sales negotiations, or GDPR essentials.
Thrive’s seamless implementation process allowed Alto to stay on track with rollout targets, hitting milestone after milestone. Within the first quarter, 3,000 users were onboarded, with even more joining each day. And thanks to the strong user interface, custom visuals and consistently positive feedback, the learning platform is prime real estate.

Igniting engagement and reducing churn
In just three months, Alto racked up over 15,000 content views — a 40% increase in adoption compared to their old LMS, Docebo. Every logged-in user is engaging with learning, driving a full 100% active user rate and drastically improving time to go-live for new customers. This shift takes Alto beyond numbers on a screen, and demonstrates the real impact they sought when researching new learning platforms.
By making learning faster and more intuitive, Alto is helping estate agents become more self-sufficient. That means fewer support tickets, less demand on internal teams, and lower churn.
